Knitting and the Super Bowl
Feb. 5th, 2007 12:41 amI knitted a hat while watching the Super Bowl. This puzzled me greatly, as I thought it would take much longer than that -- though I was working on size 13 needles, which helps explain the speed. It's made of two shades of chunky green chenille, and it's got a triangle pattern. I have about half a skein in each color left over, so maybe I'll make another one, or a scarf.
Most people will be much more puzzled by the phrase "while watching the Super Bowl" in relation to the Geek they know. It was a family bonding thing: Mom was watching the Super Bowl, so Dad and I were supportive (although Dad rooted for the teddy bears instead of the ponies, just to be ornery. And, yes, he hung those monikers on them.) The ponies won and then there was ice cream. It's all good.
