Er. Could someone with a clue please share one?

Is the Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor E6600 (4MB L2 Cache,2.4GHz,1066 FSB) an improvement over the AMD Athlon™ 64 X2 Dual-Core 4400+ ?

And, if so, how do I tell?
