So, Sibelius finally arrived! After a few headaches, it's out of its box and I'm learning a bit about it. It's cranky as heck, crashes a lot, and wants me to reset my computer all the time -- for example, it won't recognize speed settings while saving a .wav file right now. (I don't know why, but it was recognizing them a moment ago, so it will probably fix once I restart my computer.) [Updated: it didn't fix on reboot. I am puzzled and concerned and wrote to tech support.]
Due to my Finale reflexes, I'm not finding Sibelius intuitive in the slightest, but I'm slowly adjusting and getting used to it. At
tumorous's recommendation, I also downloaded Audacity so that I can save Sibelius's .wav files as .mp3 files and get them over to Soundclick.
There are depths and depths to this program that I haven't plumbed. It seems to have a heck of a lot of mixing power, but I don't even know the first thing about how to use it. I'm probably going to go shopping for a book that will walk me through -- the help files just aren't adequate for my comprehension.
Music!:

http://www.soundclick.com/bands/pagemusic.cfm?bandID=701018"I Remember" - My first piece executed on Sibelius instead of Finale. Piano solo. The complexity of the bass part (compared to everything else I've written, at least) is directly due to
derspatchel's influence.
Everything else is left over from Finale....
"Dreamer's Song" - Rock ballad style; percussion, piano, and flute.
"Frostfire" - Oboe, piccolo, bassoon, and harp. Pretty standard for me, I suspect.
"My Virtuoso" - Flute, oboe, and bassoon in a round.
Enjoy!
