I am not very good about the hard copies of my software. I know this. I have a tendency to install the software and then misplace the CDs.
But with Sibelius, I was sure I had not done this. I was, in fact, positive. I was positive because I saved the box with everything in it. I even knew where the manual was (a true, true rarity!)
Today, I checked the manual to find out how many copies of Sibelius I can install total, and I determined that I am legally allowed to install 2 copies so long as I am the only person using both. I went to pull the box so that I could install Sibelius on my new computer, and... the box is empty.
----------------
I made it that far on the post before the fifth frantic ransack of my desk located the (free-floating) CD to install Sibelius. Consequently, I am accepting this as a Lesson from the Universe with (mostly minimal) anguish involved.
Ladies 'n gentlemen, if you purchase devastatingly expensive pieces of software, STORE THEM CAREFULLY.
Thank you.
