The Christmas Party debate

hermitgeeckoThis evening, I'm scheduled to go to my workplace's annual Christmas party. I'm signed up; I have a way to get there; I have a way to get home. The thing is, I discovered that I'll be doing it without my spouse only two days back, and I'm not at all sure I want to attend without him.
...more thoughts on this, perhaps, when I'm not about to miss the bus. Or not. More thoughts on this would require a) missing the bus, or b) posting after the fact, or c) posting from work... which may not be the brightest thing to do under these particular circumstances.
